Research, Documentation & Training
Equity Foundation organizes training programmes covering multiple dimensions including women in panchayats, youths. The Organisation has imparted several capacity building trainings to the women panchayat leaders on their role, responsibilities as well as different social and legal issues.
With reference to the local self governance, the organisation also takes up research and studies to understand performance, operational bottlenecks and democratic behaviours of people. The Organisation has undertaken research for CARE, Save the Children, Planning Commission, UNDP, WaterAid, TARU Leading edge, IDEI, Constella Futures, Catholic Bishop Conference of India etc. Equity Foundation also maintains a library. Our library has a collection of more than 7000 books and periodicals.
Youth for Development Training Programme
As far as the youths are concerned, Equity Foundation has been providing training to University students on Applied and communicative & Research Methodology, Reproductive & Child Health, Report Writing, Documentation, Writing cases on the basis of observation etc. to students of rural development, Industrial Management and Sociology. The objective is to prepare them as future development practitioners and leaders.
Knowledge Resource and Documentation Centre
Membership
Knowledge Resource and Documentation Centre offers membership to all graduate, postgraduate and research students, faculty, NGOs and others on request submitted in the prescribed application form.
Others- Rs. 1,000/- only
Persons from above organisation/s can use the resource centre free of cost for a limited period on production of a letter of introduction from the Head of the institute and their valid identity card. A nominal fee will be charged for the photocopy, CD and other information.
